Creating an organized Sisterhood aims to provide a collective identity for the women of the Congregation while also serving as a channel for individual women to have spiritual growth and inspiration and express their creative energy, talents, and leadership potential. "Sisterhood" within the Congregation refers to women’s united presence, voice, and strength. It offers a platform for women to come together and collaborate for the benefit of the Congregation. Furthermore, Sisterhood enables women to initiate and develop projects that they are passionate about. Sisterhood needs the support of all the women of the Cherry Lane Minyan. Whether or not we perceive ourselves as having extra time or if we don’t attend services regularly, we are needed as members of the Sisterhood. Our Shul’s Sisterhood is a beautiful organization with the potential to allow us to make a difference in our community, develop lifelong friendships, and support our Synagogue in many ways. Let’s start with having scheduled meetings, creating committees and programs, making new friends, and spending time with old ones.

If you would like to participate in one of the Sisterhood Committees listed below or have any questions related to the Sisterhood or its programs, please contact the Sisterhood Board Members:
