Message

The Cherry Lane Minyan (CLM) is located in the heart of Kings Point, under the same roof as North Shore Hebrew Academy. It was established over 30 years ago through the efforts of a few visionaries that made a dream become a reality. Being the sole Synagogue in the Kings Point area comes with a huge responsibility of filling the spiritual and social needs of the area's residents. Our goal is to do just that! CLM is the home of many jews from diverse backgrounds and Jewish philosophies, and strives to create an environment that befits one and all. Centrally located at 16 Cherry Lane, it is within walking distance of all our members.

In 2015, CLM has proudly taken Rabbi Barak Levy as the spiritual leader. Rabbi Levy is a longtime educator, senior lecturer, professional Chazzan and dynamic speaker with a warm and welcoming personality, who offers a place in his heart for all ages and backgrounds. Rabbi Levy and his family possess all of the qualities necessary to serve as true and well-rounded role models and leaders. Rabbi Levy is always available for his congregants and we are truly blessed to have Rabbi Levy and his family as part of our community.

Classes

In addition to our daily morning minyan, CLM offers a variety of classes on a variety of topics that are appropriate for a wide range of backgrounds. We also offer numerous events for men, women and our dear youth.

Youth Program

Our Youth Program is growing stronger by the week under the direction of our esteemed Rabbi, who directs a vast array of activities and programs for children of all ages. Our early childhood Shabbat morning groups, under the direction of Morah Gitty and our other supervisors, create an inviting atmosphere where children are eager to attend each week, literally growing to love being in Shul. Our new and upcoming Youth Minyan, organized and run entirely by the youth, is a venture that will effectively guarantee the future of our Jewish community.
